Now lest you think this has no application to you think again. I regularly climb Squaw Peak. It has 1100 feet of altitude change from its base to top. You can achieve a 10% reduction in climbing time by simply adopting a smooth gait that avoids cyclical accelerations that commonly occur in a stair climbing scenario.
Life comes to you day by day and drip by drip. Sprinting is mismatched most times to its demands.
